Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Commends President Trump For Discussing Agriculture and Renewable Fuels

Johnston, IA - On June 21, President Donald Trump met with ag and renewable fuels leaders prior to his rally in Cedar Rapids to discuss issues vital to the future of ag and renewable fuels.

Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) President Eamonn Byrne, IRFA Executive Director Monte Shaw, and other IRFA board members participated.

Following the meeting Shaw made a statement:

“We want to thank President Trump for coming to Iowa and taking time to discuss renewable fuels and agriculture.

"Moving the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) forward, breaking down barriers to E15, and opening up key export markets like China are vital to Iowa’s future.

"We applaud President Trump and his Administration for working with us on each of these areas.

"While progress has been made, today we stressed to the Trump Administration the importance of final victories in these areas in order to unlock the potential for jobs and a stronger rural America.”
