Sioux Falls, SD — March 24, 2015 — The American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) and more than 70 of its members are in Washington, DC to meet with top Administration officials and Members of Congress as part of the advocacy group’s “Biofuels Beltway March” annual fly-in today and tomorrow.

Ethanol supporters and advocates will have nearly 160 meetings with lawmakers or their staff representing 43 states during the two day event.

The group’s priorities include keeping the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) on track, the growing retail interest in E15 and flex fuels, and highlighting the ways ethanol has been positive for Americans from all walks of life.

“After successfully convincing EPA last year to reconsider their ill-advised approach to base the 2014 RVOs on the so-called ‘blend wall,’ ACE members will turn to Congress this week to convey the importance of keeping the RFS on track for implementation in 2015 and beyond,” said Brian Jennings, ACE Executive Vice President.

“ACE’s fly-in is timely because in recent days a group disguised as a biofuel supporter has endorsed legislative changes to the RFS and dozens of special interests who profit from blocking market access to ethanol have called on Congress to repeal the RFS.

During our fly-in, students, accountants, and bankers will team up with ethanol producers, cattle feeders, and retailers selling E15 and flex fuels to make personal and powerful impressions on Congress that ethanol has been positive for people from all walks of life.”

During the fly-in meetings, ACE advocates will be sharing a new info and thanks to ACE-member Absolute Energy, LLC, small bags of #2 yellow corn and dried distillers grains (DDGs) will be distributed on Capitol Hill to show and tell the fact that ethanol results in food and fuel.

ACE will also be providing a virtual fly-in for ethanol advocates who couldn't attend the fly-in in person.
